Tottenham Hotspur team had many good players and they can win Barcelona in the final round but they need to fight for the win ...... they won Real Madrid last season

Good win but still an extremely tough ask to get through. I think we'll need a PSV win against Inter is far more likely than Spurs winning at the Nou Camp.

So liverpool and Tottenham both face the possibility of not qualifying for round of 16... Mourinho must be a very happy man...

With Barca already qualified as the winner of the group, I dont think they will put their best eleven on the pitch against the Sperms.

i see Spurs beating Barca, their defense does not look quite good RN and with the momentum they made an 'in-form' chelshit their bitch recently!

@Mauricio_elmessiah Our defense might not be good, but our forwards could definitely destroy your defense before yours could brush ours.

I don't think counter attacks involves brushing but instead brushing past and also I can't see close scorelines ressembling any destruction in my football life so far. Messi is also human and cannot save you all the time, with a bit of more ref help, he could've made it vs leganes or betis or even inter.

@Mauricio_elmessiah I can name a better play in every position at Barcelona. You act like Spurs are on the level of Manchester City. If this was at White Hart Lane, i'd give you the benefit of the doubt, but this is at Camp Nou and we haven't lost a home game there in the Champions League since Bayern in 2013. And don't even think you can compare your current squad to 2013 Champions League winner. Just hope Inter loses against PSV or you scrape 1 point from us.

This will be Inter's worst result of the season. They should be ashamed of themselves losing to such a bad club.

zidane with real was a fairytale come true, now other teams can rejoice that he's gone. Finishing first in a group does not necessarily guarantee UCL title, he showed that to other firsters. To win UCL ,one cannot rely on luck, over-confidence based on past glories and One-man show.

YESSSSSSSS!!!! Inter obviously just playing for a bore draw, as that would have taken them thru. Standard Italian performance. Was really sad Eriksen and Sonny didn't start, but Eriksen must still be affected by his abdomen injury from last month. Which means he will be rip roaring to go for the North London Derby on Sunday!! Sets up a meaningful Matchday 6 at Camp Nou, where Barça have already clinched 1st. Would be fantastic to somehow win there, but maybe Chucky and de Jong could spark some magic for PSV at San Siro. Anyway, nail biting commences in December! Borja was disgusting with his flopping.

'standard Italian performance'? Inter came to Wembley with an advantage. Playing for a draw was completely plausible. But call it a 'standard Italian performance' when A. Spurs were equally woeful and lacked creativity for most of the game and B. Are ironically managed by an Italian is just comical. Did Inter deserve anything from the game? No. Did Spurs put on an expansive and easy on the eye attacking football? No. They created next to nothing bar Winks hitting the bar in the first half.

to win against italian teams, you have to frustrate the players, playing well and creating chances is not the key. Inter could not handle it at the 80th

To be fair, Spurs didn't have to do much frustration. They pressed well, but Inter created next to nothing to have Spurs need to frustrate them. What Inter couldn't do for the entire 93 minutes was string 3-4 passes together. But Spurs for pretty much most of the game offered very little as well.

when you sit back deep and the opponent keeps trying to break that parked bus but cannot, you feel relaxed, but when they start passing behind the defense line, the plan starts failing and you lose confidence in the gameplan and get frustrated. That is what happened at the 80th min.

Spurs were not 'woeful' at all. Spurs were wasteful, instead, and on another day could have scored 4 with all the chances they created. They hit the woodwork twice, just to remind you.

Oh, and Pochettino is not Italian, he is from Argentina.

@Mauricio_elmessiah. Possession count in the end was 53% to 47% in Spurs' favour. Apologies, but to say Inter parked the bus is gross exaggeration. They were just woeful when in possession, but compliments have to go to Spurs for pressing well. Inter's game was basically a balanced and frugal one without wanting to take risks. But if you don't take risks, you pay the potential penalty of ultimately conceding one chance that punishes you. For all of Spurs' 6 shots (pretty poor for a home team), only two stretched Handanovic. One hit the bar (towards the end of first half) and the second was the goal in the 80th minute. This isn't the case of taking anything away from Spurs....I was cheering for them. Had the game finished 0-0, no one would've said it was daylight robbery of 1 point 4Inter

@Lodatz. I'm not sure how on another day they could've scored 4 goals, unless they had the chance to play the game again 'on another day'. Only one Spurs shot on goal stretched Handanovic - Winks hitting the bar. The other was a goal. The other 4 measly shots were straight at the keeper. The possession count was 53% to 47%. How on earth that amounts to a practical mauling of the opposition is beyond me.

Pochettino is ethnically Italian. His surname is Italian. His coaching training was at Coverciano and his family are from Piemonte. Over 60% of Argentinians are of Italian descent. Messi is full Italian blood. So is Zanetti, Cambiasso, Crespo, Icardi, Caniggia etc. These are all Argentines of Italian descent. All have Italian passports.

As bad performances go in a critical game, Inter's was hopeless. Insipid, impotent, lacking in urgency, no creativity whatsoever and just damn right awful. Hardly created any chance of note and were never able to string a few good passes together. For all of their good pressing, Spurs were by large poor as well. But ultimately, it was a deserved win. Inter were just woeful.
