seriously? barca managed a draw with many b team players, and all Inter had to do was win at home against PSV. No offense to PSV but Inter were the clear favorites, and PSV did well.

If Barca had all their players... or just having Messi on the pitch... Spurs would have returned home with zero points.

Not starting Denis Suarez is disrespectful to the youngster. Barcelona is wasting this talent. He can easily become a superstar if he gets some proper chances.

Absolutely dreadful finishing from Tottenham today. They played really well, fought hard, and it could have easily been for nothing. Cillessen came up clutch many times today. In the end, Spurs really did deserve SOMEthing out of that game, because they did play some nice football.

When Messi came on, I thought it was game over, but GG to Tottenham. Fought well, ended up getting the much-deserved goal.

But icardi didn't manage to get a simple home win

I thought Spurs would pay for mediocre finishing, but they barely scrapped by! Kane set up a couple chances beautifully with his passing, including one that Danny Rose launched to the upper rows of Camp Nou. Aside from that poor strike, I thought Danny Rose was excellent. If he can remain healthy and kick on, it'd be a massive boost for Spurs whose fullbacks have much weaker since 2015-16 (selling Walker, injuries + mental health complications for Rose).

In the 63rd, Messi did come on the pitch. Lucas Moura equalises for Spurs in the 85th minute and they qualified.

Ah yes, Keylor Navas! I will rephrase my statement:
Cillessen and Keylor Navas are the best reserve keepers right now, and they deserve to be no1 keepers in a big club.

To be honest Spurs couldve scored 3-4 goals if their finishing was not dreadful. Cillessen saved Barca.
And Miranda, Vermaelen (and lenglet even) are b-team defenders. Also, Munir was awful.
Barca thrashed Spurs at Wembley, and probably would've done the same if they went with their full team.

If it weren’t post then score line would be different. Inter is to blame for throwing home game, and it is expected Barca will at least get a draw at Camp Nou..

qwerty you said it yourself, they drew with b team players. they did inter dirty. a fair match with full squads would have seen inter stay in the competition. but i get it, they had the advantage of resting players. still tho

Come on man. It is wise to rest players (and avoid getting unnecessary injuries) when you have already won the group and the season is still long. The blame is on Inter for not doing their job at home.

answer this question: barca vs spurs who wins if they field their best players?

if your answer is barca, you get it.

if your answer is spurs, you're fickle.

I totally accept that spurs tend to bottle it in the knockout phase (I wouldn't be quite so confident if this were a knockout game), but they appear to turn up in the group stage, e.g. taking 4 points from Madrid last year. So whinging that barca would 100% flog them full-strength is a superficial, useless argument

madrid was at their weakest point in the season in the league during those spurs games. everybody remembers that. barca would 110% flog them in a knockout round.

Inter did it to themselves. They had a plethora of chances. They missed the knockout round because they couldn't beat PSV, not because "Barca did Inter like that." If you had to put your money on a winner today, it would have been Inter, but they bottled it.

"madrid was at their weakest point in the season in the league during those spurs games. everybody remembers that."

What Gonzi means is: his team get spanked by Real Madrid every time they play, so he doesn't understand why Tottenham managed to humble them. Heck, if it weren't for a crazy 10 minutes, Juventus would have been spanked out of the knock-outs by Tottenham too.

Everyone remembers that.

remember that CL final tottenham played? no one does, bc it never happened.

we're talking about levels here. finals are played between the best. Juve play finals, Juve win finals. have tottenham won anything, tbh don't even tell me, i don't care enough.

if u want to live off beating madrid once that's cool. enjoy that i guess lmao

Remember that one-horse league that Juventus dominates and can afford to scrape by in the CL until they get beaten every year? Everyone does, because it's the same story for the last 7 years.

Tottenham owned Juve in their own stadium. If not for a crazy 10 minutes of inexperience, Spurs would have gone through. Everyone remembers that, except biased trolls who hate the English.

LOL this coming from the guy whose team had to buy the player who kept knocking them out of the CL.

Also? Maradona wore our shirt at our invitation, because we had Ossie Ardiles and Ricky Villa at our club. That's because Tottenham is a great club with a great attitude towards foreign players, being the first team in England to purchase Argentine (or indeed even South American) players. We have respect for football, unlike losers like you who only jump onto a band-wagon for a team who dominate a one-horse league, and witter on stupidly on a football forum about teams you know nothing about just to antagonize people. You know, being a troll.

Great job, kid. ;) Now go back to playing FIFA.
