Appreciate it, but mate... stay true to your team! I know that Stoke game was awful but keep your heads up, next season will be a fresh start and a good opportunity to challenge for something great! :)

He wasn't injured in the 2011/12 season and he scored 21 goals and got 14 assists also. His best season.

I am sorry for beeing bitter but...Time for arsenal fans to over-react for a great victory and say about their beatiful football[yes it is beatiful when they actually manage to keep up the pace of their game] and few fixtures later when they lose or even an unlucky draw they will trashtalk arsene or some transfer by calling it flop. Please try for once to realise that i am not speaking for all Arsenal fans.Best of luck to Wenger at the FA cup final.

Fellow Gooners, what's your opinion on getting these 3 players in the summer: Roman Bürki (possibly the best goalkeeper of the Bundesliga this season), Aymeric Laporte and Alexandre Lacazette!
0
ShayGunnerJr 9 years ago
I'd get Burki (excellent spot mate), Sissokho (NUFC), Schneiderlin, Aubameyang (better than Lacazette IMO) and Austin. Note that this list is the LEAST I expect if we wanna challenge for the title and progress in UCL, honestly.

True I don't expect Wenger to spend an awful lot, as he rarely does. But Bürki and Laporte shouldn't be too expensive and Lacazette on top would be nice as well. I personally prefer Lacazette over Aubameyang but I wouldn't mind him either of course! And Schneiderlin would be a great addition as well! If we actually sign these players I think we can be serious contenders for the PL next season, maybe even more!

possibly the best keeper in the bundsliga? I'm sorry...has Neuer retired?
0
joethedrumma 9 years ago
Arsenal, Switzerland 3 881
@Josh yeah Jackson would be decent, too, however he's already 28 and I'd prefer someone younger like Lacazette. But yes he'd be a class signing as well! @Milan Not that I know of, and if you take a second look at my sentence, you'll notice that I've said "POSSIBLY the best goalkeeper of the Bundesliga THIS SEASON". He has some amazing stats compared to Neuer and other keepers in the BuLi and he's only 24. Of course Neuer is the best around but he also has a great defense in front of him... Bürki definitely doesn't.

Great defence? If Boateng, Dante and Benatia are great defenders, then that makes Daniele Bonera a world beater.
0
joethedrumma 9 years ago
Arsenal, Switzerland 3 881
Yes, a great defense for Bundesliga standards. Or should we compare Freiburg's CBs Mitrovic and Krmas with them? Because those two are not exactly world class. Fact is that Neuer didn't have a lot to do in the Bundesliga and Bürki did, and he did brilliantly! He will be world class in a couple of years time!
0
milanlamiavita 9 years ago
Bustese Milano City, Italy 4 3418
there has never been a world class swiss player, and nor is Burki or will he ever be. Arsenal's current keeper is better. Benaglio is still head and shoulders above him.
0
joethedrumma 9 years ago
Arsenal, Switzerland 3 881
I thought you might have a problem with Switzerland as your arguments are utterly irrelevant. Bürki had a better season than Benaglio in the Bundesliga. True, Switzerland barely ever had any world class players although our fullbacks Rodriguez and Lichtsteiner are a good shout. Anyway Swiss football is developing quite nicely and I am confident that our football will continue improving. Bürki will definitely be up there. And he's definitely better than Ospina, Szczesny and yes Diego Lopez as well!

milanlamiavita 9 years ago
Bustese Milano City, Italy 4 3418
eh? My mum is swiss. I'm simply stating the obvious. there is absolutely no way Burki is better than ospina or wojcech. If he was, he would be playing for a better team. Ospina has just kept goal for the third best team in the premier league. fair enough Arsenal aren't exactly champagne standard, but to compare the two is laughable. Diego Lopez? I call him Liability Lopez. He is horrendous. How exactly did he come into the equation? But Abbiati is still a better keeper than Burki will ever be. Benaglio and Zubi before him are head and shoulders above Burki.

Ok my bad then (funny, my dad is half italian). But then I don't get why you have a problem with Bürki. You should watch some highlights of Freiburg (especially vs. Leverkusen) or lots of other games. And as to why he's not playing for a better team, he just got discovered this season, and by the looks of it, he's bound to replace Weidenfeller at BVB. I still think he's better than Ospina and Szczesny, but hey, it's your opinion. But stats don't lie and his are by far better than Weidenfellers, Sommers, Lenos, Benaglios and arguably as good as Neuers this season. He's still young and I'm confident he'll be top class in a couple of years, which is why I want Arsenal to sign him! Cheers.

I've never ever rated Widenfeller. Langerak though should be allowed to take the step up permanently.

Yeah me neither, but BVB (apart from this season) are a great club where he can prove himself.

We have played Man City 3 times this season and you haven't beaten us once. We beat you 3-0 (community shield) 2-0 at the Etihad and we drew 2-2 at the Emirates.

You got lucky against us in the community shield as we did not give a shit and we never had hart, kompany, aguero silva and other key players whilst arsenal folded most of their starting 11. The 2-2 draw was luck because Sanchez was offside for his goal and the 2-0 with at the etihad was luck because aguero was out of form and recently came back from injury, yaya toure never played because he was in Africa cup of nations and our squad was just tired because of the champions league. That was the first arsenal win over city in the league for 4 years.
