cant deny the fact that benfica is a great side but newcastle werent lucky and benfica's goals came from stupid mistakes ... santon wrong pass, a penalty and a shot that Krul saved amazingly .... newcastle can win it on st james park

There was some luck for both sides but SL Benfica had 10 shots defended by the man of the match: 1 Krul (GR) and several lost opportunities. If I had played and spreaded my charming perfume on the fiel we'd win above 5-1 ;)

Unlucky Cisse hit the post not once, but Twice! Terrible terrible error by david Santon there. What was he thinking? Krul saved many shots and should not have been on the end of such poor defending.

Look like Benfica got lucky with the goals, Harsh penalty to give from a freekick, Unlucky pass that found Lima instead of Newcastle goalkeeper and a rebound goal which Newcastle defenders should have cleared away comfortably but made a meal out of it and Benfica got the equalizer. But goot thing is they got the all important away goal, we could prove vital if they get 2 goals next week at St James Park. Still not out yet in my opinion just like Rubin Kazan is not out

Do I care about shots? You can have as many as 100 shots and if you don't score 1 goal then it's useless. Matches are remembered for goals not shots. They might have the deserved 3-1 win no doubt. But you can't dispute the fact Benfica were lucky with all their 3 goals. And that's what I am trying to get across thick-heads like you.

1) handball = penalty. no luck about that. 2) backpass to goal. good pressure from benfica on the newcastle backline. whoever passed back should have been more alert. no luck about that. benfica were not unlucky at all. newcastle were poor. apart from that goal of theirs, they were poor. those two woodwork shots were not well struck. that was the difference between the finishing. And that's what I am trying to get across thick-heads like you.
