Well, despite Spain losing to South Africa and Netherlands to Japan, England will get more flack for losing to Germany (3rd ranked team in the world). Damn, it must suck to be obsessed with something you hate...USA lost today, too, so I can't really talk, but from an objective observer, it really is pathetic how many people just actively hate England.

england is and always been a shit team....ahahahaha....they never win anything....their football is too low quality. EPL is very good leage only because of foreign players, otherwise english player are mediocre players.

didn´t you see the game on friday? italy were very lucky against germany. germany hit the crossbar 3 times. italy has no world class talent. they are average. pirlo was also outclassed by the bayern midfield last season and balotelli is not in form. italy is as good as juventus: average. germany is as good as bayern and dortmund ;)

Italians have great footbal history, bounch of trophies but they are not so good now..even if Germany face them in semi, ther's no way It. can beat them..Germany is just too strong on every position.

It is the second team... Usual starters are Neuer - Lahm, Mertesacker, Boateng (Hummels), Jansen - Schweinsteiger, Khedira (Gündogan) - Reus, Özil, Müller - Klose (Götze)Yesterdays starting line-up: Weidenfeller (debut) - Westermann, Mertesacker, Boateng, Schmelzer - S. Bender, L. Bender - Reus, Kroos, Götze - KruseApart from three players (Mertesacker, Boateng and Reus) none of the players are regular starters, also Reus might lose his spot to Schürrle (I hope not) and one of the CB's might be replaced by Hummels as a starter. Ofc yesterdays line-up was still world-class but it is definitely not Germany's starting 11.

From what I understand, since before Euro 2012, England never put high expectation on their national team anymore. In Euro 2012, qualifying to the knock-out phase was the objective. I've never heard anyone from England's squad saying that they can win the World Cup. Even so, I think they believe they can go as far as quarter-final only. Beyond that is a bonus.

England has to admit Germany are better than them. Look at all Germany players: Kroos, Goetze, Reus, Ozil, etc, all of them have been prepared from past years. England? Build nothing. They let old players like Gerrard, Lampard, Terry, and Ferdinand to own the team. They even don't give a chance to young players. Now they receive the result.

I wonder what else Our hero, legend, dawson could do to get called up by Woy. How come Smalling is ahead of M. Richards and Dawson is mind-boggling. Roy bring in Noble from West ham delph from villa they are proven workaholic players miles and miles better than Gerrard and Cleverly

I had this discussion with a friend of mine the other day :) Their away jerseys are that color because the emblem of the German Football Association (DFB) is predominantly white and green.
