Glen Johnson and Rooney were poor. Especially Johnson who kept giving everything away and getting caught out of position. It's a mystery why Rooney is considered England's best player. The guy is useless for England. He hasn't even score for England in a world cup final

I'm happy England won here. I read this in the paper and I believe it but one of the reasons why England don't go too far in cup tournaments because of the pressure from the media. If a team from another country loses, not many people will care and not only that, the stadium that they are in is enough for these players not to go through too much pressure. But if England lose, not only will the fans lose it but then many people around the world will know that England are not doing well and it will be all over the papers. Just saying

England is good before the world cup but in Brazil they will get destroyed by Italy and Uruguay who has better quality then them. Costa Rica is also very good , dont underestimate them. Good luck England ;)

No scorers for Peru, as usual. England looks very shaky on defense. The Peruvian keep was subpar and responsible for one, if not two, of those goals. The glory days of Peruvian soccer will soon be forgotten.

I thought, this match does not prove anything yet, we can see sturidge individual goal.. gahill goal, and jagielka goal by the keeper error, and against Peru.. this does not proof anything yet, england need to be against top team like netherland / spain and produce a good match and consistent before this young england team to have a chance in the tournament :D

But we had a great squad in the 2006 and 2010 world cup, and were expected to do well. But England flopped in both those tournaments. It would be funny if England do well in the one world cup we are expected to do terrible. Plus in 2006 and 2010 we had Gerrard, Lamps, Scholes, Terry and Ferdinand all in there primes. I think this year they will cause a shock.
