This seemed like a practice match for Argentina. Argentina completely dominated the match. Messi is not at 100% but luckily he didn't need to overexert himself to score a hat-trick and give an assist though I was a bit worried when he crashed into Guatemala's GK. Even the Guatemala players seemed worried. Overall, the match was good although it became dull after Messi was subbed out. The fans in Guatemala got to see Messi and enjoy good football and Messi surpasses Maradona and becomes the 2nd top scorer in Argentina along with Hernan Crespo with 35 goals.

think its obvious messi doesn't need other players to make him better now, he scores with argentina consistently, and we've all seen barcelona without messi now, they're useless. best player to ever kick a ball

First of all Tevez isn't even called up to the squad, and Lavezzi rarely gets to play. Higuain and Aguero rely on Messi to create chances for them to score, not the other way around (people like you don't seem to understand the concept of a playmaker). The only one other than Messi who can create to some extent is Di Maria. And one can easily say Ronaldo has Moutinho, Nani, Postiga, etc. Both teams are evened out in weaknesses and strengths, so don't make excuses. I love so called "Portugal fans" are willing to insult their own team just to make Ronaldo look better.

Good to see Messi back. First goal was dedicated to the people who say he cant do long shots. I dont know if it is just me but Di Maria plays a lot better with Messi than with Cristiano Ronaldo.

Except neither Tevez nor Higuain nor Aguero are creators. They're all strikers who poach. Ronaldo has players like Moutinho and Nani to create plays and serve him the ball, whereas Messi has to do the playmaking in Argentina. He serves whatever striker they're using, not the other way around.

So players like di maria, lavezzi, tevez, aguero, pastor are not helping messi score. I think messi needs these players more than many of the ones in barcelona or else he will suffer horribly in argentina. Not saying he's bad, he's currently very good for his country but he has a lot of help. However ronaldo doesn't have anybody in his country to help him score and when he wants to help THEM score they miss the chances -__-

point being no matter what team he's in he'll score, obviously he wouldn't score same amount of goals for a painfully bad team like QPR but if he was to move to united, chelsea, milan, bayern etc it wouldn't make a difference, and yeah you can tell ronaldo hates his team mates in portugal aha
