Football fans in most countries are a fickle bunch, when their team is losing they tend to scoff and jeer. Not the Irish, i remember in the Euro 2012 against Spain as their team were being outplayed on the pitch, the Irish fans raised their voices and began to sing their hearts out. Every time their team conceded another goal, the fans sang a little louder.
in a world where fans of different teams have to be segregated to avoid trouble, it was truly uplifting to see Irish and Spanish fans laughing and singing together without a care in the world.
There was no trouble, no anger, just a joy at being there and a sense of pride that at least their team had given everything on the pitch and could have done no more.
i am dutch and 2016 i wear green instead of orange :)
Wow.. what has this world come too..
That is most likely why the Bosnian supporters did it, because of the bullshit reaction.
Look I am sorry what happened in Paris and I deeply wish the best for all the families, I know lost can be hard, but we have to pray for all casualties, For Lebanon, France, Japan, and all the Iraqi's who lose their life to this crazy world.
Focusing only on Paris does not only offend me as a person, but should offend everyone.
It is unfair and purely insensitive too the families who lost in Lebanon too.
