If you're expecting them to apologize, think again. The internet fuels trolls, not apologies.

Been waiting for the USA to get properly involved in the planets most celebrated sport. The argument of "we leave that soccer game to women" is an excuse that was reserved for times where the USA National team didn't stand a chance. Well, things have changed, they have a voice now - I hope they continue to use it. Congrats on the Win, but more importantly kudos for a performance that is enjoyable to watch... much better football than what we saw in the World Cup.

Dempsey has been the player of the tournament so far! he is sensational right now. and that red card for Jones was bullshit. only antonio valencia should've been sent off. Merica.

Honestly great to see Guzan getting pumped after making an important save. After the past season his club had it must be nice for him to have something to celebrate

The top comments when USA lost against colombia 2-0 was mocking with them. Now they are in the semi-finals after 3 consecutive wins. Where are the trolls behind those comments now?

Best match of the tournament so far. Everyone was exhausted, even the managers it seemed. I'm just glad our defense held out. John Brooks was probably the best player tonight.

Woohoo! Another gritty, hard-fought performance, especially when the field opened up 10 v 10, because Ecuador pushed us HARD.

We beat Argentina 3-0 in the 1995 Copa America. Is it too much to ask for a repeat...?

We got outplayed, but only the result matters. We won. Jones was an idiot the entire game, fouling people with a yellow and then getting ejected when we were going to go up a man. Our ball possession is a joke. That said, we defended well until we got tired. Our wing defenders are too slow. Great win against a good opponent.

look at leicester's possession. I know what you're saying and it hurts. But hey, we're never gonna play like spain or germany. We will always be an Italy-team. well, for the near future anyways. and look, it's actually working.

Still proud of you Ecuador! Probably one of the better matches I've seen in this competition. These guys played their guts out (both teams) and for me that was more thrilling than anything else. Well played USA!

Good game for usa. The crowd support was stunning! Never knew they could pull off the chanting and cheering they did in this game tonight.

I know we'll probably get knocked out by Argentina in the semifinals but I'm just so happy and proud of this team, man... I feel like that dude from Wales in the 85th minute vs England today.

@Richterbelmont clearly you don't know American sports history we've managed to win on many occasions no matter what the odds are because of our pride and passion alone. (Not just talking about soccer)

Ecuador played a relatively great game, especially the second half. Their forward wasn't up to par, they needed someone like Chucho Benitez :( . They had their chances, but as always, Dempsey's clinical. Great second half, especially by a firing Ecuador. Semi's it is; should be a good game.
