Match facts

Chelsea

  • Chelsea have not lost any of their last seven league games against Manchester United (W3 D4). They've never gone eight without defeat against United in their league history.
  • Of those 16 Chelsea wins against Manchester United, five were recorded by Jose Mourinho, more than any other boss for the Blues.
  • Jose Mourinho lost just one league game at Stamford Bridge between 2004/05 and 2014/15 (W76 D21). He then lost four of his final eight games there in 2015/16 (W3 D1).
  • David Luiz has twice scored against Manchester United in the Premier League but his only own goal is against the Red Devils.
  • Diego Costa has scored seven times in his opening eight league games this season. Only two Chelsea players have scored more goals in their first eight matches of a campaign - Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink in 2001/02 (8) and Diego Costa himself in 2014/15 (9).

Manchester United

  • Manchester United have lost more Premier League fixtures against Chelsea than any other side (16).
  • The only time in his career Mourinho has managed an opposition side at Stamford Bridge was with Inter Milan in March 2010, knocking out Chelsea in the Champions League.
  • Manchester United have won just one of their last eight Premier League trips to London (W1 D3 L4).
  • Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored against Chelsea in both of his appearances against them last season in the Champions League.
  • After scoring with four of his first 15 shots in the Premier League, Ibrahimovic has failed to find the net with any of his last 26 in the competition.
  • Rooney has gone six Premier League games without scoring against Chelsea, this after converting two penalties against them in February 2012.

Predictions

Chelsea and Manchester United have both been very well organised at the back and both sets of attackers will find it difficult to break each other down. Furthermore, both teams have a world class goalkeeper in their side.

A low scoring game is definitely likely here and it will be hard to separate the two sides as well. Both managers will want to avoid a defeat. A draw seems quite likely.

Final Score – 1 : 1

When stubborn mourinho play Fellaini and bench Mata, i know what would happened. Either we lucky not conceded any goal or get our a*s beaten.

Hey James87 it would be stupid and ignorant on anyone to expect Arsenal fans to say anythiny positive about Mourinho consideering he never lost any EPL game against them, and how horrible he treated their coach Arsène Wenger. I understand your pains and why you says what you said.

You better learn how to use a capital letter at the start of your sentence as well as punctuation at the end of it. Oh, and how to switch off cap locks before you act scholastic.

I think it will be a very boring game. Don't expect Pogba to score in two games in a row. Chelsea is slowly building their position and I think that with home advantage they could score a goal or two. Mourinho is outdated for me, he is very bad with his players and there is just nothing Special about him anymore. Both teams play badly, and as a Gunners fan I cannot believe I'am saying this but...Chelsea seems a bit better than money-spending, career-breaking Red Devils side. As for betting, I would say 2:1.

This analysis is very good but the one that helped me to bet on this game was from this website:
