Barcelona

  • Barcelona have scored 70% of their goals thanks to their strikers, the highest percentage of any team in La Liga this season.
  • Luis Enrique could be the second Barcelona manager to win back-to-back La Liga games against Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabeu, after Josep Guardiola (6-2 in 2009 and 2-0 in 2010).
  • With his hat-trick on 2014, Lionel Messi surpassed Alfredo Di Stéfano (18) as El Clásico top scorer with 21 goals.
  • Since that game, Messi has played six El Clásico matches without scoring once, his worst run against Real Madrid (all competitions).
  • Luis Suárez has scored four goals against Real Madrid in La Liga since he joined Barcelona on 2014/15, more than any other player in the competition.
  • Lionel Messi has won more points with his goals than any other player in La Liga this season (17 points with 29 goals) - Álvaro Morata, is the third with most (13 with 12 goals).
  • Neymar will miss El Clásico for the first time since he joined Bacelona (W4 D1 L3 with the Brazilian playing).

Predictions

Barcelona have shown to be much poorer away from home than they are in front of their home support this season, and there's little reason to believe that they can change that at the world's hottest current side.

So much bias in this game. Ramos shouldn't have been sent off and Messi should have gotten a yellow for diving!

It seems like everyone is counting Barcelona out of this. Just know that clubs like Barca, Real, Bayern always need to be respected and can win games against teams even in really dire form. Just gonna say to Real fans that whatever happens today I'll still hate you :p but respect is something else and let's give that to each other..

Barcelona have to win to be in title race. If they lose, Real go 6 points in lead atop the table with a game in hand.. That's like a nine point lead and it will be gg Barca.. But let's wait and watch what happens..

I doubt Messi will score as he is needed in midfield to create chances for Paco and Suarez, or even Alba. but it is hard to tell since Messi is everywhere on the pitch lurking around. A must win for Barcelona, otherwise wave farewell to La Liga title. a 6 pointer match

They rely too much on him. It's not good as he will not be around forever.
