The Everton board has worked miracles over the year in order to built this squad. Martinez has an excellent bunch of players. An ideal mix with talented players such as Barkley, Deulofeu, Lukaku, Mirallas and more experienced soldiers such as Barry, Jagielka, Baines, Howard and Distin. If they can keep this squad together, which will be difficult given the fact that Lukaku and Deulofeu are on loan and Barkley is on the list of every big club, they definitely would not get humiliated in the UCL. Especially if they manage to buy one or two good defenders.

If anyone is to say Lukaku shouldnt be loaned from Chelsea, he should look at the playing style of Chelsea.. Torres could not replicate his form in Liverpool, this is because Chelsea attacking style revolves more around their attacking midfielders.. They do not supply many balls to their strikers and just let them go alone, they dribble towards the penalty box, the strikers are used to make runs and drag defenders away. We saw how Lukaku was not able to score when he started for chelsea, not because he was not good, just that Chelsea attacking midfielders love to take shots.

SJ is absolutely correct, he has proven to be the best player wherever he goes, and a complete asset to anyone that has him. Mourinho would be foolish to loan him or sell him.

Can't say that the result surprised me.. i believe i am speaking for a lot of Newcastle supporter's on this one. Summer might as well come now, looking forward(To anything) Major clear out is needed, and investment's, let us hope it comes, if not, we will be in another relegation/survival battle next year.
