Lots of people were expecting that kinda game. Germany and Spain have huge injury problems. Some of their most important players retired from international duty. Both teams have never played like this before, the pitch was covered in water and soggy. If you thought you were in for a treat today you decided to watch the wrong match.

The German defense was surpisingly steady. I expected much worse. Spain didn't really have much of an offense on the other hand.

Let's get real. Both teams were like half the backups that they normally have. Not a great game, and I, a Germany fan haven't been too proud with their play since the World Cup but I'm glad to see them get a win, lucky or not. Muller, Kroos, Gotze and Khedira were the only starters on the team regularly that were playing in this, and I could tell that Spain didn't bring all their starters too. I'd say good game from both teams, but a "bad" game overall.
